Send HOPE Back to School

It’s sad, but true. For many children the start of a new school year is not one of excitement and new beginnings. Some boys and girls in our community start the new year without supplies. Help send Hope Back to School with our annual backpack giveaway.

Last year, more than 500 children and their parents attended our Send HOPE Back to School event. Each student received a new backpack full of school supplies thanks to the generosity of supporters like you.

This year, we expect as many as 800 children. That’s why I’m asking if you could please:

• Purchase a NEW solid color backpack
• Fill it with supplies from this list:
   

• 2 Folders
• Tissues
• Pencil Sharpener
• 2 Glue Sticks
• Box of #2 Pencils
• Highlighters
• Pencil Box
   

• Calculator
• Index Cards
• Box of 8 Markers
• Box of 24 Crayons
• Box of 12 or 24 Colored Pencils
• 12” Ruler
• Eraser
   

3. Drop the backpack and bookmark off at the Mission before August 9.

Helping these young people today can make a big difference on the first day of school.
Please help me send Hope Back to School in a new backpack.
